Raw Fat Receiving & Grinding
Raw animal fat tissue is received in enclosed receiving areas and ground to a uniform particle size for efficient rendering. The grinding area is maintained under negative pressure with air directed to the odor control system, preventing any fugitive emissions.
Closed-Vessel Rendering
Ground raw material enters sealed rendering vessels where it is heated under controlled conditions to separate fat from protein solids. The closed system ensures all vapors are captured and directed to the odor control system — no open cooking or venting to atmosphere.
Vapor Scrubbing & Odor Control
Captured vapors pass through a multi-stage scrubbing system: water wash removes particulates and water-soluble compounds, chemical wash neutralizes acidic and alkaline odors, and biofiltration degrades remaining volatile organic compounds. This achieves near-zero odor at the plant boundary.
Centrifugal Separation
The rendered material is centrifuged to separate liquid fat from solid protein (cracklings). High-speed centrifuges achieve clean fat separation with minimal residual solids, while the protein fraction is pressed and dried for meat and bone meal production.
Refined Fat Packaging & Wastewater Treatment
