On August 27, former Deputy Director Zhang Guifeng of the State Grain Administration led a group of grain, oil, and rice-processing experts to Huatai Intelligent Equipment Group. The purpose was straightforward: see how the company is pushing innovation in the sector, and talk through where the industry should go next.
Who came
Zhang Guifeng was joined by a roster of well-known names. Wang Ruiyuan, former director of the Grain and Edible Oil Bureau under the old Ministry of Commerce. Experts Hu Chengmiao, He Dongping, Xiang Hai, Zhang Yixin, Zhang Sihong, and Xie Jian. Huatai's side was led by Yan Zipeng, a deputy to the Henan Provincial People's Congress and chairman of the group, and Yan Bo, vice chairman of the Anyang Federation of Industry and Commerce and the group's party secretary and general manager. They stayed with the visitors through the whole tour.
Inside the plant
The group walked through Huatai's production workshops, showroom, and R&D center, looking closely at how the grain and oil equipment is built and what sets the core technology apart. Yan Zipeng walked them through the company's story: 38 years in grain and oil machinery, a "local adaptation plus global standards" export strategy tied to the Belt and Road, and products now running in over 70 countries. He also pointed to recent gains in joint university-industry R&D and in greener, low-carbon equipment.
What the experts said
The experts praised Huatai for moving the industry forward on both technology and low-carbon practice. They singled out the company's newer complete lines: soybean low-temp meal, concentrated, isolated, textured and modified protein, dietary fiber, plus corn deep processing, corn starch, starch sugar and corn oil. Zhang Guifeng said Huatai's drive to make oil equipment smarter, more efficient and cleaner has lifted the competitiveness of China's whole edible oil sector, and the work has earned real respect in the industry. Wang Ruiyuan and He Dongping urged the company to keep betting on innovation and internationalization, and to keep raising its core edge.
