A 100 TPD cottonseed oil line for a Gujarat-based oil producer, combining delinting, hulling, pressing, refining and meal processing.
Cottonseed is the most service-intensive of the major oilseeds because of its linters. The line starts with delinting (acid delinting was avoided in favor of mechanical, on operator safety grounds), then proceeds through hulling, kernel-shell separation, flaking, cooking, pressing and refining.
The hulls are sold to the Indian particle board industry as a high-value by-product. The kernels yield about 18-20% oil by weight, refined to a light-colored oil that meets Indian Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) requirements for refined cottonseed oil.
The line was commissioned during the Indian cotton harvest season. With a tight 4-month deadline, we pre-assembled the major sections at Hua County and shipped them in knocked-down form, then completed assembly on site in 5 weeks.
Operating since mid-2023, the line has been running at 95-100% of nameplate capacity, with refined oil output of approximately 18 TPD and meal output of 55 TPD at 36% protein.
